The Delaware Alliance
for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) and Wilmington University have partnered in a
unique
endeavor to strengthen the nonprofit sector by furthering and broadening
the education of its workforce. They have announced an exciting new
course scholarship program for employees of the nonprofit sector, to be managed by the
DANA.
Full-time employees
in the nonprofit sector will be eligible to apply for the scholarships. The
course scholarships can be applied to any classes in the selected 44 undergraduate or 28 graduate program areas at Wilmington
University.
- Books and other costs associated with the courses are not covered
- Doctoral degree program courses are not eligible
Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must have at least one full year of service with a nonprofit organization and be currently employed with a Delaware-based nonprofit. Scholarships will be awarded by course. Applicants may apply for more than one course scholarship in a school year.
Undergraduate Applicants:

- Current Resume
- 1 professional letter of recommendation
- Career goals statement (no more than 250 words)
- Grade report at the end of each semester
- Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
Graduate Applicants:

- 1 professional letter of recommendation
- Current Resume
- Career goals statement (no more than 250 words)
- Grade report at the end of each semester
- Must maintain at least a 3.2 GPA

THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR FALL 2013 SCHOLARSHIPS! Thank you to all who submitted materials. If you are accepted, DANA will contact you no later than April 24. Wilmington University opens registration for Fall 2013 courses on April 29.
To be considered for Spring 2014 course scholarships, you must submit materials between August 5 and September 15. Wilmington University
opens registration for Spring 2014 courses on October 14, 2013. If you are accepted for a Spring scholarship, DANA
