Strategic Planning Toward "Greatness"

In an effort to maximize what we have learned from Jim Collins, author of Good to Great and the Social Sectors, we will provide foundational principles of “greatness” from his work and give in-depth training on an integrated strategic planning framework. The principles of greatness we review will examine foundational elements of your organization to consider for inclusion in your strategic plan.

About the Instructor
Paul is the Executive Vice President of Consulting at Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, and is a Standards for Excellence® Consultant. His career spans more than twenty years in senior management positions
in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Paul has operations and quality management experience, having run a direct fulfillment program supplying custom-configured computers for Hewlett Packard. He is Lean Six Sigma certified, and has extensive process development and improvement experience, which he has used as a consultant and employee in both for-profit and nonprofit environments. Paul has organizational development expertise and served as a coach and leadership development instructor at Prison Fellowship’s Leadership Development Institute. He taught strategic planning for Prison Fellowship’s Eastern Region, where he served as Executive Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region for seven years. Paul received his B.A. from the University of Virginia, and a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Theology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.
