Each foundation contributed $5 million. Modeled after the Nonprofits' Insurance Alliance of California (NIAC) , ANI-RRG is governed by its nonprofit organisation members. In October 2005, A.M. Best upgraded ANI-RRG's rating from a B++(Very Good) to A- (Excellent)
