Claudia Peña Porretti, J.D., CFRE was recently the Executive Director of La Esperanza, Inc. in Georgetown, Delaware. Prior to this role, she was the Director of Development for People’s Place in Milford, Delaware, and the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Indiana.

While living in the Midwest, she worked as a development director for various nonprofit organizations, was a board member and chair for several Indianapolis nonprofit organizations, and was an Advisory Board Member for Indiana Nonprofits.

Originally from Connecticut, Claudia holds a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana Institute of Technology. She has also attained the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has studied at The Fund Raising School at Indiana University’s The Center on Philanthropy.

Claudia is a member of CFRE International, the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Brandywine Chapter, and the Delaware Hispanic Commission. She was also a former Cabinet Committee Member for the United Way of Delaware and was named one of Delaware Today magazine’s Top Women in Business in 2013.
