Program & Event Manager

The Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) is seeking a full-time salaried Program & Event Manager to help support DANA’s mission of strengthening, enhancing, and advancing the nonprofit sector.

Reports To:
President & Chief Executive Officer

Duties and Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

• Support Training Program

o Writing descriptions for flyers and catalogue
o Creating and tabulating training evaluations
o Creating certifications of completion for participants

• Support Consulting Program

o Contract management with both the client and the consultants
o Distribute and collate board surveys for all Board Excellence engagements
o Creating certifications of completion for participants
o Creating and tabulating consulting session evaluations

• Own Annual Conference & Winter Member Reception

o Investigate, book, and coordinate speaker
o Manage venue, food/drink, and all logistics

• Support CEO with fundraising efforts

o Secondary point-of-contact for Alliance Partners and Funders
o Support thank you letter process and proactive touch-points
o Tracking outcomes against plans for grant applications

• Support CEO in partnership development/management activities

• Own Associate (For-Profit) Membership Program

o Develop and build-out program
o Primary point of contact for Associate Members

• Own Volunteer/Intern Program

o Establish structure and process for bringing them in
o Coordinate “care and feeding”

• Membership Database

o Primary internal owner

• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven track record for successfully completing projects and tasks

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Quality written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal/relationship development skills
• Ability to manage time and multiple projects with competing priorities
• Enthusiastically detail oriented
• Must be organized and task-oriented
• Knowledgeable with data use and management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Physical Demands:

• Required to sit for long periods of time
• Infrequent light physical effort required (up to 25 pounds)

Work Environment:

• Primarily Monday through Friday 9am-5pm work week with occasional hours outside of this
• Work performed in an office environment
• Occasional local travel and work outside of office
