Richelle Vible is Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington.  Catholic Charities is responsible for directing and coordinating the charitable and social service programs of the Diocese.  It offers a wide range of human services to strengthen families, care for children, assist the disadvantaged, and build human relationships.  It works in concert with other religious, non-profit, and public agencies and in collaboration with the business and professional communities.  Catholic Charities offers direct service to more than 90,000 individuals each year from its eight locations in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Vible served as President and CEO of Citizens Bank, Delaware where she was responsible for overseeing the bank’s commercial and retail business lines and operations in Delaware.  Prior to taking on the chief executive role, Vible served as division executive for Citizens’ commercial real estate banking business in Delaware.  She has more than 20 years of banking and commercial real estate experience in Delaware, Philadelphia and southeastern Pennsylvania with Citizens Bank, PNC, WSFS and Stoltz Realty.

Vible is a dedicated community volunteer and serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed to the board and operating committee of the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement.  Vible holds board seats at Woodlawn Trustees and St. Francis Healthcare where she serves on the finance and stewardship committees. She is past president of the Delaware Women’s Forum. She serves on the board of trustees of the Delaware Public Policy Institute and is a member of the steering committee for the United Way Council of Agency Executives.  Vible has served two governors on the Council on Development Finance, the advisory body to the Delaware Economic Development Office and the Delaware Economic Development Authority. 

Her past community service has included various chairmanships, presidencies and board, cabinet or committee memberships for the Delaware Business Roundtable, United Way Campaign, Salesianum School, Catholic Diocese Foundation, Delaware Community Investment Corporation, Commercial Industrial Realty Council, Delaware Bankers Association, Delaware Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee and New Castle County CEDS Committee, New Castle County Financial Future Task Force and the Wilmington Hope Commission.  She received a gubernatorial appointment to the board of trustees of Delaware State University, where she co-chaired the finance committee and served on the development and investment committee. She has served two County Executives on the New Castle County Financial Advisory Council.

Vible is a summa cum laude graduate of the Catholic University of America and earned her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  She attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Leadership Programme in St. Andrew’s, Scotland.  She lives in Wilmington with her husband and three children.
